Barr Marine conversion parts

Post by Fleetwood » Mon Oct 31, 2016 1:18 pm

I have a 1963 C-C Sea Skiff with a 327 Chevy Barr Marine conversion engine. Due to overheating, the starboard cylinder head gasket blew. I have now taken the engine out of the boat to remove all the water/oil sludge from the crankcase and other parts. I would like to know of where to buy new gaskets for the shaft end gaskets, transmission, and crankcase.
Has anyone reinstalled the drive hub onto the crankcase, and did you use an oxy/acetylene torch for heat to drive the hub onto the shaft?

Can you post a picture of the engine and a picture of what gaskets you need? I might be able to help you out.

Also post a picture of the drive hub so I can see which one your dealing with.
