Motorfunding

Post by SteveNL » Tue Sep 26, 2017 12:44 am

Hi guys,

As I m right, the 22ft sea skiff was sold in the past with a 95, 130 and 185 hp engine. Does anyone knows if the motorfunding fixed on the main beams is for all different engines the same? Or does a 95hp engine have a different motorfunding then a 185hp engine. The same for diameter of shaft, I have 1 inch shaft.

I want to replace my 95hp for a 100-130hp marine diesel. Does anyone have experience with this transition?

Regards,

Steve

I believe the engine stringers would be the same no matter which engine was installed. The shaft would also be the same although there might be a difference in the propeller. I know nothing about the diesel engine but I don't see why it would not work. Do not worry about the shaft. Just align the new engine to the existing shaft and you should be good to go.
