Accessories installataon on our Ski Utilituy

Post by Miss Kris » Fri Aug 10, 2018 12:44 pm

Now that Jim G & jph have helped solve the mystery of the engine mounts positioning for our ’59 Ski Utility AND the engine is now installed (photo), the task of accessories installation begins.

The original generator/water pump combo has been bolted on but I need help in two critical areas:
1. I believe I saved all of the cooling hoses and pipes but I’ve lost sight of how they are installed from the pump, to/from the engine and through hull intake, etc.?

2. I have the original external voltage regulator but it’s so badly rusted that there are no remaining identifying labels. It was originally installed with a 283 (now 350). Are all the 50s 12V external regulators the same or do I need to be more specific? Then there’s the mystery of where I get one of those ‘antiques’.

3. Finally (for now), what route does the wiring to and from the generator, regulator and ammeter take?

Thank you!

reinstallation can be a challenge. for others reading this, best advice is to photograph everything before removal.
