fuel odor

I have a 20 foot sea skiff 283. Restored after 10 years. First year on the water. Fuel system is new. Tank lines filter. Absolutely no leaks. After running i turn off fiel at tank and mecjanical fuel pump. If i go out into garage i smell fuel. Has anyone had this problem. I am stumped

Could be venting vapor from tank vent. Fuel odor around boat but none in closed spaces on board might support this. I would still re-check everything.
