I need a steering column tube for a 1946 Chris Craft Rocket. Would like to purchase an original, or borrow to make a copy.
Thanks,

Bill, I have my gearbox out currently. If you want I could pull the steering wheel back off and send it, but would accurate measurements do?

Does anyone of you have a spare throttle arm for the same column? Or knows where to buy one?

Jacqui,

They can be found here. On the expensive side, but top notch quality.

Mark, thanks for your reply.
I checked the site but only saw the complete levers.
It's just the arm and tensioner I'm looking for.
See the picture.
Couldn't find them separate

Stan Ramsdell in CA makes the tensioner.

Bill, I replaced the one on my 46 deluxe. It was all rusted and there was a sign of chrome plating under the clamp at the top. The original pc had been chrome plated from the factory. I know this was a gray boat when I got it and it was original never taken apart. I ordered a brass pipe same wall thickness and machined in the holes and slot just like the original and sent it to be plated. Probably better than the steel and this one won't rust. ordered the pipe from Mcmastercarr.

You could probably do it with stainless exhaust pipe and polish it.
