Removing varnish runs???

The guy who last restored my Slick Craft evidently didn't see fit or have time to tape off the painted area on the lower part of the hull from the varnished wood part...... I am pretty sure there is no magic bullet for getting the yellowish varnish off the white paint, but just thought I'd ask.

I am assuming that I will have to sand it smooth, but I'm open and hoping for an easier way.

You can use a nib file. You will still have to sand after using the file and probably will have to paint the stripe, but it will make quick work of it.

Here is a link, but they miss named it a nip file. You can probably get one at a parts store also.
