interlux 2000e epoxy primer
I am restoring a 1950 CC Riv.and I put a new 5200 Bottom on it,now I am primer it with Interlux 2000e Epoxy Primer and using gray then white primer and for some reason the primer is cracking in the seams, anybody have any Ideas why ?I have notice that the white comes out thinner than the gray when mixed, any help would be great.

OOps?!
Again, moisture movement is the cause?
This has NOTHING to do with your concept of material use?

Wasn't It !!!! Will this become a issue?
Re: interlux 2000e epoxy primer
There is way more information needed about your process to form an opinion.
Did you use CPES ? If so how and when did you apply it ? What were the humidity conditions then versus when you applied the barrier coat primer ?
Without information some people get FRUSTRATED .

Is it possible that this is an adhesion issue where the paint is not sticking to the material in the seams and presenting as a "movement" issue? Good photos might be helpful.

In the 'hull construction' forum, May 30, you asked about these opening seams.
I did my best to explain how the products work and postulated that maybe you weren't controlling humidity well in your shop, and you admitted a 3-month delay before coating with the barrier coat primer, and that's probably why your planks were moving?
You Replied: "My shop is the driveway and I am on the West coast so I am subject to the weather, would cleaning out the seams and using Sika 291 ?"
If your boat is still out in the weather, facing sun, wind, and rain changes on a daily basis, then I just don't know how you would stabilize it?
