Post war font

Post by island time » Wed May 25, 2016 7:09 pm

Hi all,
In the past I have had vinyl lettering done to add interest to various things such as I have my boat descriptions and names on the side windows of my truck cap and I display the same information on my custom boat trailers.
I am getting ready to paint a new trailer I just built for my 23 commander and wondered if anyone knows what the post war CC font is called or if anyone in the club provides this service or would that use be a copy write infringement?

Thanks,

Craig

I bought the hull side stickers for my trailer. Didn't last long on Galvanized.

Copyrights and trademarks give the owner the right to sue...if they want. Usually suits are brought when their marks are commercially used. For instance you may use the trademarks on your personal trailer, but if you were commercially making trailers and did not have license to use the mark and you sold the trailer with the Chris Craft logo on the trailer...they now own you.

And yes, the Prewar and Postwar CC script is a registered trademark and has been protected many times right from Christopher Columbus Smith.

Trademarks are usually registered with the Trademark and Patent office (uspto.gov) and in some cases individual states, -Copyrights with the Copyright office.
