Need 1955 283 cooling water Wye fitting

Post by PaulM » Thu Mar 08, 2018 11:55 am

Does anyone have one of the Chris-Craft wye fittings that splits the intake cooling water feeding the dual impeller water pump for a mid to late 50's C-C 283. Am working on an 18 ft. Holiday that we think originally had a 6 cylinder and someone in it's history retro-fitted a 283 into. They used a cast Iron inline steam strainer ,without the strainer in it, to get the "Y" outflow pattern.
This cast Iron fitting became plugged solid with sand and corrosion to a point that we had to destroy it to get it out of the boat.
I'm hoping someone in this huge boat "sphere" has one under a bench or in a bucket they might be willing to part with. :?:
