<t>I am new to this forum and I am in the process of rebuilding my 1940 15.5 ft Deluxe runabout. As part of this process I have replaced the keel and in doing so noticed the shaft log is completely worn through on the bottom side. It is Pattern # 169. I have contacted the Peter Henkel shop in Michigan and the Mitch LaPoint shop in Minnesota in an effort to find a replacement. Both entities have indicated they do not have that part and would have get it from the foundry and both indicated they would purchase from the same foundry located about 3.5 miles from the Peter Henkel shop for about $500.

I am reaching out to this group to see if anyone has that part number (#169) as used part or NOS part and would be willing to part with for a more reasonable price plus shipping to NC.

Barring that, I have measured the angle of the log and found it to be about 12 degrees. Does that angle seem about right? And could I purchase a non-CC shaft log with the same angle to replace the original?

Thanks in advance.
Stephen
