Well, that got your attention I hope.. Now for the inevitable disappointment. When Suzy, our go to Woody Boat boat was found in a barn in 2005, she had a nice original Bimini top on. When we purchased the 1960 24 Sportsman last summer she was topless. I am in the process of rebuilding one, but if anyone out there has an original one. In any condition..Don't care about the canvas. The hardware is the key here..Originality is key here since the boat is almost 100% original parts, wood etc. HELP! I would like to keep things perky and void of any sun damage. You may fill whatever jokes here....

Here is the shot of her in 2005 as a fresh barn find. It looks like a standard top, but its very wide.
Here are the dimensions. Looks like 80 inches at the front and the base is 93 inches.

Here's another pic of the 1960 24' CC Sportsman "Suzy" after I pulled her out of the airplane hanger. It took a manly crane to pick her up.

Thanks. Awsome.. I have about 10 more we just got today from frank Miklos who was at the barn with the other boats. That's when I first saw the top that don jr said was with it. But no one can find it. Ugh.. As you know better than anyone the boat is a time capsule . You saved that one big time. We have looked all over the marina for the top and the dons have checked there place.. I thought it might be a pile of rags or it never was with it. But these shots are proof it was in pattern shape for sure. I just fouls a cool nos mirror as well just like the one in the shot. But dang it's ugly...

Matt, not to change the subject, but that is an original CC trailer under her in the barn shot.

I know. It's cool as hell.. I have no idea about that either.. There was some cool stuff there. The ladder.. Skis. Mirror.. The original plastic numbers.. Wish I could find that all as well. It's nice to keep in all together as part of her history.

The photo of the trailer shows an Alloy logo on the fender. I think CC spun off the trailer business to them in the late 50s. I've seen other early Alloy trailers that are dead ringers for CC trailers with the distinctive fender shape and independent suspension. Alloy Marine Products continued to build trailers (and other things) in Algonac for a number of years. I own a later Alloy that holds my "fiberglassic" '63 Starcraft.

I just got more info on that trailer. It was shot and was left there. It literaly fell apart on the scene. Also more info has come in regarding the top. It was sent out to be chromed. And has been lost since it came back. So , we are slowly getting more info in. Thanks to everyone for helping. We are also underway in looking into replacing it with a pattern from a perfect un used pattern top that we have located. It would nice if it was original to the boat. But the canvas needed to be replaced anyway. UGh.. Thanks to all for helping.
