So this is why I can't steer my boat! (see attached photo) Doe anyone know where I might find a replacement linkage?

I may have one, or check with Jim Staib or Heinkel. I will root around in the stash tonight. Why did arm break? Inherent weakness in the design. Check the size of the square section on the rudder shaft. If fit is not almost size-for-size, then over-tightening would do it. What is the number in the casting? CQ
Is yours a dog-leg or straight? Have a Chris-Craft marked, cast steel, 3/4 square. Dog-leg approx. 1", hole spacing is 5-1/4 centers. Ratty-looking, you drill clevis hole, then trim to OAL. Send PM if you can use it... CQ

Casting number 3577. Dog leg-yes Square is 3/4" by 3/4". Not sure what you mean by hole spacing but it seems like your's would work. How much?
