Bow Chock Orientation

Post by JimF » Thu May 19, 2016 1:10 pm

Image B.jpg
I was taking the hardware off my boat in preparation for fresh varnish. I got to looking at the bow chocks and noticed there is a left and a right. There must be a correct way to re-install but which is the correct way? A or B?

Sure! You get the bow light in the picture but you pay shipping!! You must convince me that your way is correct!

Orientation A would be correct. Your lines are usually tied forward of the boat. In the B orientation your lines could possibly lift out of the chocks. If you can picture that.
Boats are to be made of wood, otherwise, God would have grown fiberglass trees.

I've never been a "by the book" sort of guy.
Jim wins the bow light - like he needs another one. :)

I'll probably send Jim a line so he can use it as an anchor. :D
