I have a Whaler 220 shower sump but have had standing water in the shower during our cold snap earlier this winter.
How do I test if the pump is good. I have easy access to the pump and it's wiring in the passageway outside the head.
DC breaker marked "Shower" is on, but it didn't come on to empty that standing water that showed up in there. |

Did you solve this one yet? The Whaler Shower Sump has an automatic float switch that may be frozen or stuck. The little hatch on top should access it. Try working the float manually. If that doesn't work check the circuit with a volt meter at the external connections. There may be a loose connection that needs to be fixed.

| Finally figured it out. No float switch. There is a pull switch hidden in the corner of the shower that was hidden by the shower curtain. |

Oh, Wow, glad you tracked down the solution. Such things can be so frustrating. I haven't run across that before. I'm guessing you can hear the pump making a fuss after your shower that reminds you to turn it off.
