Any other 1940 Double Staterooms out there?

Post by rchristen » Wed Sep 02, 2009 11:09 pm

I have one of only 7 42' Double Staterooms built in 1940. Does anyone know if there are any others still on the water?

Mine is in Seattle, though it was originally sold in the Clevland area.

In VA Maybe

Post by evansjw44 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 3:47 pm

One was here in the Detroit area for many years. It was sold a year or two ago and moved to VA where it is undergoing a restroration. I know of a couple of craftsmen that have contact with the new owner.

I don't actually know. A friend of mine has been there to see it off-loaded. Another friend has been there and he's making a new stem for it.

:D I wonder if Don Danenberg still has is? That was the biggest silver tarp I or we ever put over a boat. It covered 1/2 of Manistee County. ............marmcisaacinc.com

Its ashame to see that boat in that shape. I grew up at the marina where that boat was stored. It was always kept in a covered well. Was always in top condition.
