How Do I Renew My CCABC Membership Online?

Postby farupp » Fri Apr 06, 2007 10:50 am

Hi Bill: I have read that it is possible to renew my CCABC membership online. I would love to do this and I already have a PayPal account with real money in it!

I just need to know what the online renewal procedure is.

Thanks,

Frank, for you and others: Online renewal has a couple of distinct advantages.

1. It is quick and easy and saves you a stamp. Our online payment system is set up through PayPal. If you have a PayPal account the process is very simple. If not, the PayPal registration process is a llittle tedious, but it does make for simple future transactions with the Club, eBay and so on.

2. You can set your membership up to auto-renew. This is a pretty slick way to go. PayPal will NOT pay your membership with funds that you do NOT have. All the auto-renew really means is that in one year, you will get renewal notices directly from PayPal, asking you whether you would like to renew your membership. If the answer to that is YES, then the renewal is a two click process.

The URL that you need to renew online is:

http://www.chris-craft.org/renew

In certain cases (those of you who have been involved on Boat Buzz since the beginning) you may need to "Activate" your online account first. This is typically very simple, but to protect your identity and secure your account we handle this activation process directly with each of you. In extreme cases the activation is a bit tricky....but, it is a ONE TIME process. Once you activate your account you will not have to do so again.

I should also mention that as we move closer to the announcement of our online archive, your user name and password (In other words, your activated account) will become more and more important to you.

Excellent.

You can also use the "Send Money" feature of PayPal to purchase Club merchandise such as DVDs, Albums, back issues of The Brass Bell and so forth.

Just log onto your PayPal account, click the "Send Money" link, enter the amount you want to send, and forward to our Club PayPal account which is bbasler@chris-craft.org
