Sportsman windshield
I'm restoring a 1954 Sportsman- received with a plexiglass windshield which does not appear correct in shape - can anyone furnish a pattern for the correct shape?
Re: Sportsman windshield
What length? The boat closest to the pier is an 18' that belongs to Chad Durren and is very correct.

Re: Sportsman windshield
It's a 17 foot - same as the one referenced in your picture but what I'm looking for is a pattern to give the glass shop so I can have new ones made that are correct. Any thoughts on where I could get one?

A pencil and some cardboard.

And do not assume that the panes are identical. I use foam board for the pattern work. Be sure to get a good photo of what is required and sketch it out. I only do one side at a time, and only remove the center post when necessary. Be sure that once your patterns fit that you I.D. the board. A good glass man will pattern them exactly as the board, and the edges will be smoothed, and have a slight sectional radius. Charley Q.

Gunner,
I have a plywood pattern for a 54 17, sportsman windshield.
I can ship it to you.
It was taken off the glass of a 1 owner 54 sportsman.

I used 1/4" plywood for my 1955 Sportsman windshield pattern. With a crisp cut edge, it makes the glass guy's work easier. Don't forget to have the top edge radiused and polished as it is exposed and you don't want a sharp edge there. Also use auto safety glass if possible.
