what is procedure for replacing the v belt on a Chris M engine? Jim

Loosen whatever is keeping the belt tight (probably the generator) remove the old belt, install the new belt, tighten whatever is adjustable (probably the generator).

You have to pull the flywheel to replace the belt.

On a K, you can remove the starter and the belt slips around the flywheel. IDK if any different on a model M.
Boats are to be made of wood, otherwise, God would have grown fiberglass trees.

Its quicker to pull the flywheel off.
