New posting icon, engines and power train subject

Post by Captain Nemo » Fri Aug 04, 2017 6:03 pm

Has anyone noticed how the green new posting icon on the engines and power train subject stays on even though there are no new postings? I get disappointed when I find nothing new, or is it just me. :?

It doesn't do it to me. But then I don't get emails for new post on threads I've posted on. I've got it turned on in my control panel. But it hasn't worked since they did the update thing.

how are we currently getting notices of new postings?

I should add, that is, posting where one isnt a direct commenting participant.

Don, I noticed the icon to the left of any given subject on the board index changes from a green plus sign to a red minus sign after you have viewed that subject. The weird thing I have going on is that the green plus sign stays on for the engines and power train subject after I have already looked at it. All the other subjects act as they always have. It's just a quirky thing, not a big deal.

Sometimes if you hit the back button on your browser instead of going to the index the icon will stay green even though you read the post.

Always go to the index after reading a post.
