Best caulk to use to fill chine trim gap?
Alright, so i have everything from the water line down bedded in 5200. Good excess squeeze out between all bottom planks. But I stayed slightly conservative when bedding the chine trim, because at the bow the chine trim runs up into the stained/varnished area above the water line and I didn't want that purple line to show. So I am using a wood filler where i need to sand and stain. But what is the best caulking to use where my fitting got a little loose between the planks and chine trim? Can I just use regular paintable waterproof caulk? Any input is greatly appreciated

Yeah..., You're just better off letting "trim" stuff drain excess moisture.
No need to "seal" that, it could hold in moisture?

Good point. I'll let the small gaps drain and dry. Anyone know about how much Pettit 1959 Copper Bronze I need to finish the bottom of an 18' Utility? One quart? Two Quarts? Not trying to be too up tight, but also don't need $70 quart-sized paper weights laying around the shed either

I fear that paint requirement will fall between one and two quarts. Got one of those paperweights.

Me too, once that can is open it's useful life isn't very long. You could try putting it in a new can and sealing it tight but it will eventually become a copper paperweight.
