[edit] Overview
The Tri-Cabin was designed to offer triple cabin space in a small flush-deck cruiser. The aft cabin space with two births and a lavatory (toilet or head) has a narrow walk-in space with windows that projects through the center of the aft deck (a dog-house if you will). This unique design provides seating space with plenty of walk-around clearance on the aft deck while accommodating head-height access and windows in the aft cabin births. The forward cabin included vee-births and a lav. (toilet or head). The Salon included a convertible dinette (sleeps 2) and a galley. This model included a command bridge above the roof level of the aft cabin.
The design of the Tri-Cabin is actually a refinement of an idea that was included in the 1939 Chris-Craft 33' Double Cabin Enclosed Bridge Cruiser. It had a "doghouse" on the aft deck to provide head room in the aft cabin.
