[edit] Overview

In 1931 Chris-Craft introduced their first line of production Cruisers in 31' and 36' lengths. Prior to this year Sedans and Commuters were produced but these were the first Chris-Crafts to be identified as Cruisers. They were available in several model choices from single or double cabin, open or enclosed bridge, modest or deluxe models, and with 2 engines to select from. The larger model included a galley with refrigerator. The 1940, 25' Cruiser was an enclosed bridge model that slept 4, included a galley with sink, ice box and stove and included a head in the private vee-birth. The 26' Kit Boat cruiser was an express design and could be equipped and finished as the customer so chose. The Sea Skiffs were also express layouts that slept 4 and included a full galley and head.
