Sea Skiff

Chris-Craft produced a not-so-very-well-known model in 1936, called the "Sea Skiff." This model is not to be confused with boats produced by the Sea Skiff Division. Accurately described, Sea Skiff Division boats feature model names such as Open Utility, Runabout, and Express Cruiser, and are of lapstrake construction.

So, for purpose of describing the model "Sea Skiff," one must refer back to the marketing catalogs from 1936. The Sea Skiff—first, and foremost—was a plank on frame hull, not a lapstrake constructed hull. The length was 23-1/2-foot. The 1936 Sea Skiff had an "open" utility hull type. The hull was painted white with Philippine Mahogany decks.
