Re: Decoray Linoleum Redux

I just encountered a boat (1957 18 foot CONTINENTAL ) that also has Decoray listed on the hull card. I am willing to try to reproduce it (as the continental is mine now) if anyone has managed to get a sample! This also gives us more people to contact concerning the possibility of getting a sample.

Re: XK-22 Chris Craft 6.9 Meter Hull # 20 "Last one ever ma

There is an XK 6.9 that surfaced in Kentucky a couple of years ago and then again today. It is on the market for 25K! I tried to talk the owner into a higher listing price (I am the broker) but he wants a quick sale. This is Hull #10. It is in great shape. All stock except bunny bed has been re-done...

The owner, Bill Zaush of the Indiana Chapter ACBS has requested that I request from you some photos of the back seat and front seat backs and cushions. Also... it seems you may have a bench for the front seat AND cushions on top of the bench. Isatso?

Flooring

John, would you mind posting (or sending to me) digital photos of your flooring, that shows the direction of the pattern, location of hatch binding on removable panels and so forth? This boat was essentially "gone" when the owner started this restoration. Any photos you have would be appreciated! Th...

Yes, White sided and the hull card says Blue Marb. I woke up in the night and realized the flooring samle I have (which is about 1 square inch tops) was under a staple.. I suspect the flooring the owner thinks is original may be a replacement floor. I don't think staples would have been used in 1946...

Been using marmoleum... but this one has a pebble texture that I don't see in the marmoluem lineup. Of course there is the possiblity that what we are looking at (tiny tiny pieces of linoleum) is NOT original but the owner is convnced as of now. There is also a guy at our shop that is pretty sure he...

1946 U-22 flooring

Have 1946 Utility - U22. Onwer belives some small scraps of flooring still attached to some of the floorboards to be original. It is a pebble textured linoleum. Anybody know what WAS original for 1946? Does anyone know of a source for this material

Thanks!

The essential guide shows blond... but only has one pic for 3 years of production so we can't go by that. The info...

One Mile Ray Spotlights

I have a one mile ray spotlight on my 1958 55' connie. Can anyone tell me what light bulb the unit gets? Has anyone converted from incandescent to another form of ilumination?

Thanks! Paul

Bottom replacement 33' Plywood Sea Strake (Cavilier div)

:o I have a 33' Sea Strake I knew of some rot in the transom and some of the bottom before pulling it out. After pulling and getting the out of water survey there are so many (seemingly) isolated areas of rot it makes sense to replace the entire bottom. So now I have estimated the cost of replacing ...
