Re: James Anthony Boats
That is the one I am considering. The listings are for the same boat with the $45,000 listing expired. I will check in with Hagerty. Good idea. Thank you.

James Anthony Boats
I know, not a Chris Craft, but sometimes those of us who love boats find some other boats of interest. Hoping that someone in this forum may recognize the "brand". While I love my 17' Model 199, it does not work well for more than me and my wife so considering a fiberglass/mahogany option as a #2 fo...

Water Pump on CC "H"
Boat is a 1931 Model 199 "Split Cockpit Runabout". It was re-powered prior to my ownership with a Kermath, essentially a CC "H". I was not getting direct water pickup from a bucket and purchased a rebuilt pump from Robert Henkel. Fit perfectly but when running engine (on the trailer) at 1000 RPM's, ...

Re: 1931 Model 199 Seat Cushion Configuration
Apparently the "line drawing" was not part of the package that I initially purchased. I am going to follow up with MM to see if they have that drawing. One member of a forum did show a line drawing for the 199's "big brother" with the two cushion configuration so I am guess that this much smaller ve...

Re: 1931 Model 199 Seat Cushion Configuration
Thank you for your input. MM has been suggest by another knowledgeable person as well. I did purchase their "package" when I acquired the boat but cushion configuration was not included. Thanks again.

I did not recall exactly when that occurred. I will address with my question to MM.

Re: 1931 Model 199 Seat Cushion Configuration
Thanks Matt. As a regular "Woody Boater" reader, I recognize the boat list and the photo. I will give Souza a call. The 199 was the cheapest in the 1931 fleet. No springs; just a wood plank and cushion on top.

1931 Model 199 Seat Cushion Configuration
When I purchased my 1931 17' Split Cockpit Runabout, Model 199 it had installed some generic redish vinyl upholstery with a single wide cushion both front and back. I have finally located the correct blue russaloid and will be moving ahead with completing the work. Does anyone know for sure if the f...

Re: 1931 Model 199 - Generator Cut-out to Ammeter
Denis, Thank you again for the reply. The additional comment that both ammeter terminals are + answers my question. I think I kind of get it that the ammeter measures the direction (and "volume") of the current flow through the + wire and not a differential + -. I appreciate the clarification and fe...

1931 Model 199 - Generator Cut-out to Ammeter
Trying to be sure that I do not "fry" something in the process of re-wiring. The Wiring Diagram is shown below and I will add the generator cut-out following. My question is to which terminal should the wire out of the generator be attached? I am guessing that the nomenclature on the cut-out referen...

Balast Resistors in 1931 Model 199
I am in the process of rewiring my 1931 Model 199 (17' Split Cockpit Runabout). It was repowered with a Kermath 6cyl (CC-H) and converted to 12v before I acquired it. The pix below show the two ballast resistors that were/are in place. They do not show on the wiring diagram from the factory and I am...

AC Tach for 17' 1931 Model 199 (Split Cockpit)
Another 199 owner sent me a picture of the OEM tach. It is an unusual rotating horizontal disk by AC. I am seeking one to complete my project as I have all other components. I have tried all of the "usual suspects" from ACBS, Classic Boating, etc. Any additional source help would be appreciated.
