307QL: Parts and torque
I'm getting the motor ready for the season, and removed my motor's pulleys to have them powder coated so rust won't eat my belts. A couple questions that I can't find the answers to... 1- How do I get the pulleys off of the water pump housing and sea water pump? Not sure if this is necessary before ...

Re: Leaded vs. Unleaded Fuel and winterizing additive
Got it - I had not considered the intake manifold yet. Thanks for saving me some time. The manual advises to remove the square head pipe plug from the intake manifold and then pump water out using the oil sump pump. I'm guessing this is where you would then pour antifreeze back in? Would you put the...

Re: Leaded vs. Unleaded Fuel and winterizing additive
What's the point of RV antifreeze if you need to drain the cooling system, assuming standard non-closed cooling system?

Re: Leaded vs. Unleaded Fuel and winterizing additive
Thanks for the quick reply! I actually just updated my question to ask about a Lucas fuel additive and whether I can use it for winterization. Is there a recommended aftermarket fuel additive (Chris Craft part no. 56. 00-20629) and oil supplement (Chris Craft part no. 56. 00-20630) for winterization...

Leaded vs. Unleaded Fuel and winterizing additive
The manual for the 307Q engine advises using leaded gasoline with minimum octane of 92. All fuel I've found in my area is unleaded with a max octane of 91, so I've been using ethanol free, unleaded 91 octane gas. Is this a problem? Should I be using a fuel additive or find a source for leaded fuel? ...

Re: Missing Capacity Plate
Thanks for the pic and the info! If anyone has a picture of these plates on a 71 era lancer, I'd like to see it. I'm curious if there is a way to get replica plates or reproductions just for the sake of restoration. However, I don't know where they were originally positioned from the factory.

Re: 250 drive 'fell'
Hey guys, I know this is an older post, but I have the same problem. Good info here, but I have a couple open questions. After reading the service manual for the 250 and the operator's manual for the 280 (for some reason I can't find an operator's manual for the 250 on Volvo's site), it seems like t...

Missing Capacity Plate
I just picked up my first Chris Craft, a 1971 Lancer 19. It seems to be missing a capacity plate. I believe this is a federal requirement. Where can I have one made? Is there a way to get original hull plates or replicas?
