Close to 1/2 way.I thought maybe steering linkage maybe missing a spring or maybe could adjust steering box.It has been rebuilt but might be missing something. Thanks Jake

GENTLEMEN, I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SPEND THE ENTIRE WEEK AT BOAT THE BLUE AND WATCHED SOME JUDGING OF A FEW BOATS. 17 foot chriscraft barrel back 1941 need HELP
Gentlemen,restoring a 1941 17 ft chriscraft barrelback. I have learned from museum in Va that they manufactured 425 total only 5 were produced with port side steering and my boat was the last to have portside. My question of the day is do the other 4 still exist. THANKS for any info. Jake

GENTLEMEN, I HAVE A 1941 17 FT THAT HAS ORIGINAL TOOL BOX , (I THINK) IT HAS DIMENSIONS THE SAME BUT HAS SIDES AND BOTTOM WHICH MEASURE1/4 INCH IN THICKNESS AND 5d NAILS,NO SCREWS. ENDS AND PARTITION ARE 3/4 PLY 3 LAYERS TO EQUAL 3/4. WOULD THIS BE TRUE IN 41 AND NOT 42. JUST ASKING
