Re: 1959 CC Ski 18'

So are we estimating that most of the early v-8 runabouts are being run with the gauge running one side of the engine and monitoring that? I'm not seeing many red lights or second temperature gauges. Bout to launch mine after years and was planning to monitor with a laser spot pistol. Anyone put a s...

anyone care to share an early 283 picture with multiple temp. gauges. I dont think I've seen one on a single engine. My early 283 had one gauge. Dec 58.

Top cross plank behind the back seat top (Port side). both engine stringers around the engine. Pull off the white piece of upholstery to the left of the gauge cluster and it will be on the back. CL -21- xxxx.

Here is the route I went with one new Plexiglass side with thinner glass. I am assuming this is the area you want gasket material not the base two piece .

Re: Windshield Molding

Auto windshield shops have catalogs as well as stock many types of windshield rubber mounting rubber. Find an old shop as older cars and trucks used various types to fill the voids. Thats where I found mine.

Re: Stainless Rub Rail

I do like the idea behind the Vix bit, the rail will be going into new wood and I hadn't given it much thought about perfect centering. Thanks everyone for all the ideas. I will go with #6 Stainless oval heads which is what I had planned.

Re: Original colors

The easy answer is all that information is available on your Hull Card. If you don't have it, order it from the Mariners Museum best money you will every spend on a boat.

Re: Jetson stern pole

Most people don't realize there are at least 3 different O.D. diameters of these poles, different bases and lengths. The generic Jetson pole description just wont get what many will need. Al has them at California Classics but they are pricey. I watched for the correct one on Ebay for mine for 7 yea...
