How Do I Renew My CCABC Membership Online?

Hi Bill: I have read that it is possible to renew my CCABC membership online. I would love to do this and I already have a PayPal account with real money in it!

I just need to know what the online renewal procedure is.

Thanks,

StanPro stainless window channels

Lewis Marine (800-823-0311) stocks the StanPro stainless window channels and the rubber sealstrip backing tape that should be used with it. They list it as StanPro Flex window channel (#75000118), StanPro Rigid Channel-single (#75000119), StanPro Rigid Channel-double ((#75000120), and StanPro Edge C...

The fungus that causes "dry rot" does not grow in salt water. I have my boat in salt water and rot has never been a problem in the bilge or the hull bottom. Fresh water causes the rot. As previously pointed out, salt cause lots of corrosion problems so I, too, would not intentionally put it in the b...

I found my cruiser hull numbers (C-26-422, not a kit boat though) stamped, not written, into the wood in many places including: on the engine stringer just in front of the carburetor, on the bottom of the cabin door, on the inside of the many wood trim pieces in the cabin (I had to take them off to ...

It sounds like the Bendix drive is bad as you mentioned. The Bendix drive incorporates a strong spring to keep the starter gear meshed to the flywheel ring gear until the engine starts. Have the starter rebuilt and tell the shop what the starter is doing and that you are using a 12v system. They wil...

Did you notice the feedback about the seller, and that the "successful" bidder will have to pay boat yard storage fees in addition to the bid price?

What a deal!

The best place for "Boat For Sale" ads is the new Trading Dock. More room for photos, descriptions, etc. That's where everyone looks.

I hope to see your ads there so I can tell more about your boats.

Thanks.

I have that exact same coupling on my 1949 CC cruiser with a single M engine. It works great and I have never had reason to take it apart.

Where is the helm (maybe you open the hatch) and is that a siren or spotlight on the "cabin" top? 40 mph; two gas tanks and two gas pumps? Look at how it sits in the water in the stern. Notice the emergency flotation stored on the dock.

What a boat!!

Salt water equipped?

As Paul said, our old boats did not come "salt water equipped." I use my CC cruiser in salt water and I installed an inlet connection for a fresh water hose (garden hose) at the cooling water inlet of the water pump. I run and flush my engine for 15 to 20 minutes at 1000 rpm after using it in salt w...

Fiberglass Sea Skiff

Hi Paul:

Thank you for your post. I have heard about fiberglass Sea Skiffs similar to the earlier wooden 22 and 23 foot CC skiffs. Do you have any other pictures that you could email? What engine does your boat have, etc.? Have you found any others?

Thanks,
Frank

Could someone tell the proper torque (60 ft-lbs, 65 ft-lbs, or ?) for the cylinder head nuts on a CC Hercules "M" engine. I found a parts store that had a listing for the JXD M engine (ask for a industrial engine parts catalog). The intake and exhaust valve guides are identical. Sealed Power number SEE VG414 or Manley 01006.

"M" engine valve part numbers

I am looking for the part numbers for "M" engine valves, engine number 75230 in a 1949 CC cruiser. The intake valves that are in the engine are number 43018A (stamped on the top of the valve). That matches the number in the old M engine parts book and my spares also have that number. The exhaust val...

"M" engine valve guides

Hi: Does anyone have the intake and exhaust valve guide part numbers for a 1949 "M" engine, serial number 75230 powering a 1949 CC cruiser.
