Does anyone know if Engine box hinges were installed by the factory on this year and model chris craft?

I would not expect to find hinges.

Though not the same boat, I have owned two 18' utilities (1940 and 1942) and they both had hinges. I know that does not give you a definitive answer but maybe that is what they were doing then. There are a few pair on ebay right now. They go on the front end of the box.
