Hi Jeff, beautiful boat. Would love to know more about your boat. Is that the original color? I understand the red is pretty rare. I would like to get another XK some day.
In the interim, it's nice to learn a little more and possibly have access to original boats for restoration purposes.

Hey Patrick,
Yep, the red's orignal although it shows a bit brighter in the pictures than real time. It's a 70 (ORAV190045), Paragon V-drive with a 230hp. I've always admired the boat and feel fortunate to have found one. What's cool is that we have 5 of them down here with 4 owners and there's a 6th in mid restoration. We're trying to coordinate a time for some pictures of us all running together but so far it hasn't worked out. When it does I'll pass them along.
Would love to see pics of the 71 when you have a chance. Where is it now?

To the best of my knowledge it's never been re-gelcoated or painted - just extremely well taken care of over the years. I've had her for 2 years and it's previous owner is a meticulous owner in the boat business and I know he didn't do anything but interior.
Great pics from OK - what lake? I've had the XK to Broken Bow.

I'm down in Dallas on Lewisville. As for Broken Bow it's beautiful. Clear water, a lot of character to the shoreline, no homes on the lake, it's timber country so a lot of trees and beautiful cabins for rent near by if your so inclined. You can rent a covered slip for $25/day. Mostly ski boats and house boats, few cruisers. A good family lake. In reverse I've never been to Grand but hear good things about it.
