Transmission oil filter

I just posted this over on the Commander forum but I thought I'd post it here too.
As we all know there is no oil filter in the Paragon "P" series transmissions and I just wondered if anybody knew of a reason why a remote engine oil style filter could not be installed in the lines/s from the transmission to the oil cooler.
