Lodging Available - Hessel Boat Show

Post by Mark Christensen » Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:10 am

I was able to find a cottage, 2 bedroom in Hessel, MI. It's about 2-300 yards from the main docks where the show is at, and on the water. Older cottage, but clean. If anyone is interested, i'd work out a pretty reasonable deal to help us both cut costs. I'm getting the place for 125$ a night which isn't bad. There is a chance I'll stay in a tent on the grounds, making both bedrooms available.

Let me know,

I wish I was vacationing there this week. I gotta work till about 230 on friday, then i'm hauling up there as fast as my little ram will take me. I'm thinking i'll be there about 9 or so. I would love to see/meet some more club members. I am leaving sunday morning, but i'm free saturday night too. I'd love to get a ride around to see some of the islands/inlets and such. Preferably on a u-22 :)

will your shop be open at all this weekend?

Mark,
What brand radar detector do you use? I'm an inch closer than you and its 450 miles going up and 500 going around for me. Actually going around is faster if you can miss the Chicago traffic. Ain't gonna happen on Friday afternoon!

Mark,
Did you forget you loose an hour (and go back about 40 years) in the UP!!
I'm going to Madison. Much closer.

Mark,

I'll be there, but without my boat. I'll wear my ACBS name tag on my Glacier Lakes shirt if you want to say hello. Sorry I won't be able to offer you a ride in a U-22.

I'll definitely say hi. See you there!

I still have this cabin available too if anyone is looking for a place to stay.
