Missing Part for 30 foot Cavalier

Post by daveditch » Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:21 pm

I shipped my boat via transpot truck to my new home. Along the way the starboard panel bearing the Chris Craft label blew away. Can anyone suggest where I could source this part. If I cannot find the panel I will fabricate one but I will still need to source the the chrome Chris Craft name. I would appreciate it if anyone can point me to a source.

Thanks

If it is one of the standard size Chris * Craft chrome emblems, you can watch ebay, I see them from time to time. If not, there are several boat yards that may have them. Check with Hundley in Texas.

I ended up fabricating two new panels. I purchased the emblem on ebay. The lower part of the cowling is usually fibreglass with horizontal lines imbedded in it. I used cherry with a mahogany stain topping everything off with West System epoxy and paint and varnish. The look better that the originals
