Has anyone converted a Hercules A to an alternator?

I was going to, but due to my inability in finding someone who could help, I spent $150 to have my 12v generator rebuilt. I would try your question on one of the Chris Craft Facebook groups.

I recently converted to alternator for my KLC. Pat Crusse at Crussen Classics (sp?) had an adapter machined and it uses a modern alternator. Not cheap at all, but it works perfectly and is clean looking. I made a slight change in the installation. It is a 2 wire alternator with one wire going to the output post that energizes the alternator. It constantly had a light drain on the battery, so I wired it to the ignition so there's no drain unless the ignition is on.
