Kind of a newbie but I’m trying to learn all I can about the original paint options on this engine. I’m having it rebuilt therefore also painted. It appears the only color visible on the block is silver. Can this be original paint? Most everything I’ve seen has been some shade of blue. But as I say there is nothing blue on this engine. Can anyone help to verify this could be/ was an original paint used during that period? As I recall the engine serial # is 1608. Hull # 1064
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Please post a photo of the engine to see if it is a Chrysler Marine Engine?
If it is the are two colors early green/grey later different green /gray.

You may want to contact Dave VanNess at VanNess Engeneering. He has remade the correct paint for all these engines, Pre War Blue , Post war Blue and this, the Chysler engines. Worth a call.
