Oil pressure gauge connection
I am not sure where a mechanical oil pressure gauge would connect to my 1940 Model B engine. There are two screws in the middle of the block (picture). The one on top looks like it would open to a water connection? Maybe the bottom screw just above the oil pan?
Re: Oil pressure gauge connection
Not sure if the model B has the fitting in the same place as the GM model 70 but here is a pic of where it's located on that engine, it's the fitting right behind the fuel pump.

From what I've seen in other pictures, it may connect right below where the generator mounts?

Re: Oil pressure gauge connection
I found this picture trolling the internet for CC Model B, it looks like the line for the gauge is between the starter and Generator??

Re: Oil pressure gauge connection
it sure looks like it to me, from the picture. i would take that plug out and see if there's oil residue in there. otherwise i'm sure Jim (drrot) knows.dadsdream wrote:So is that where the oil pressure line is attached?

Re: Oil pressure gauge connection
I bought this engine as a fresh rebuild but have not run it yet. The oil line is connected up under the generator.
